Today's lesson I am suppose to research on the topic I chose. I have learned how to narrow down my search results by using brackets , asterisk, inserting the keywords and using synonyms. For example my topic is on : Discuss the impact of the proliferation of fast food chains in the world market on public health.
Here are the keywords I picked out : Impact , Proliferation , Fast Food and Public Health.
Synonyms : Effects , Spreading


Upon entering on search query that include the keyword and variations , I am impressed by Google's search functions and features. Google has an addtional function which is the advance search. This redues irrelevant information and thus I am able to get even better results. Bolding the keywords in the title as well as the short description of the webpage is a feature of Google. I am impressed by all these because it saves time on what I kind of results I want and the bolding of the texts allows me to spot the keywords easily. I then can decide whether I want to continue reading the webpage itself.

I have experiences of participating in discussion forums. However my past experiences were on gaming and not for any sort of research. Now I know that not only I can know other people opinions , I can also know about certain information that I do not know of in the forum itself . Forum is helpful for my research because , everyone from anywhere can contribute their opinions to anyone and I myself or anyone can gain more knowledge. There is no one that knows everything, so forum is a way to get more information as well as to enhance our own knowledge. Since I had experiences , I am not anxious about talking to others I do not know. I am willing to accept what other people say and even if I get offended , I should just forget it because I cannot do anything about it.


I must do citation and bibliography is because there is a need to acknowledge the source of information. I am not the one who provided the information available and these are the contributions from other people and I should not claim it as my own work. If I do not cite , it constitutes to plagiarism , which is a serious offence and will lead to consequenses.
